Strange rectangle control behavior

What is your Shotcut version? 26.8.1

Steps:

  • Place any clip on track V1
  • Use the Generate button in the Timeline toolbar to add a Text clip on V2
  • Add a Crop: Rectangle filter on the text clip.

The rectangle control of the Crop filter shrinks to 1x1 pixel (I guess) and jumps to the top left corner. Editing its size and position has no effect.

To restore the rectangle control, I need to click the Deselect the filter button.

Notes:

  1. It doesn’t happen all the time. Sometimes it will work fine, but most of the time I’ll get this strange behavior.
  2. It happened a few times with the SP&R filter as well.

I’ve had this happen to me a few times also with Crop:Rectangle but on a video clip, I could never replicate it, and closing + reopening Shotcut always fixed it up.

I could replicate it with your steps, just as in your clip, the position and size fields in the filter details stayed at 0,0 and 1920,1080 even after manually moving the rect with mouse.
