I’ve used the stabilize filter on a video but it adds white artifacts. It would be far less noticeable if the artifacts were black. Is this avoidable?
Hmmm. Never seen this before. Is it cellphone video?
Personally I don’t use any other filters when I stabilize video.
I also don’t like mixing containers, I’d transcode the MTS before using with lower IQ .mp4 footage
Yes, the video was recorded on a cellphone.
If after stabilizing, you see little artifacts along the edges, this is a byproduct of it being stabilized. If you set your Zoom to a negative value, you can see what’s happening. Read about Zooming and Smoothing in my post below for a solution.
