SPR filter adjusting causes image to change color?

Context: I have a red image (jpg, also tried png and same issue apparently) in the shape of a bar with 30% opacity filter, used to synchronize a music score to the audio… I am using the SPR filter to adjust the size of it, but if I make it too small - it goes white, for seemingly no reason.
I have tried every filter I can, and can’t find any solution.
This is the only thing stopping me from finishing this animation - on the very last page D:
Thanks in advance for any advice on the matter… I am lost
Example below

I do not know why it is doing that. I did not reproduce it in the quick test the I performed.

I wonder if you would have better luck if you used a color clip with transparency rather than a jpeg file with opacity filter.

@ineedhelp
From the settings in your SP&R filter, I deduced that your are using a very small image. I can reproduce the issue when using a 2px by 82px red JPG image.

Either use a larger JPG image (I had no problem with a 1000px by 1000px one), and set it’s size and position in the SP&R parameters, or use a color clip like suggested by @brian

As mentioned, I did try with a png file - same issue, if that is what you are asking.
Also tried with a fresh shotcut file, no other items present - same issue… :frowning:

What @brian suggested is to use a color clip, not a PNG image.

Rectification: The image doesn’t need to be very small. I get the same issue with a 26 X 1080 image (JPG or PNG).

So I guess it’s the ratio that causes the color problem. Very small width compare to the height.

This is more or less a solution, thank you - though it may bring up another issue, it shouldn’t be enough for me to finish this animation.
