Shotcut text applying to entire video

Hi, does anyone here know how to fix? Sometimes, when I put a text filter, the text applies to the entire video and I don’t know how to remove the text. Does anyone else experience this? How do you fix it? Thanks!

Hi @RS1, it’s best to add text to a clip on a higher track than V1. See:
