Shotcut Player doesn't change State when Export-FileDialog opens while playing

What is your operating system?
(If you are using Linux, you must state how you installed Shotcut as there are too many builds and packages. In general, we do not make the build installed by your distribution package manager unless it installs the Snap. The developers only build, test, run, and support the builds shown on our download page.)

Windows 10

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)?

Shotcut version 25.01.25

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
(Please be specific and use the names as seen in Shotcut, preferably English. Include a screenshot or screen recording if you can. Also, you can attach logs from either View > Application Log or right-click a job and choose View Log.)

  1. Click Play in the Shotcut Player
  2. Click on “Export File” in the Export-Tab => Windows File Dialog opens
  3. Player stops Video Playback but has still the Play-State and shows the Pause-Icon

Is this on some backlog or not that relevant to change it?

Or is it even a wanted behavior?

There’s plenty of minor bugs like this one reported on the forums, some of them get eventually fixed but there’s too few devs and too little time to just jump on fixing them immediately.

It’s definitely not wanted behaviour to have an inconsistent state but on the other hand, you have to admit it’s not gonna be a high priority one.

I believe bug reports, even smaller ones, are always welcome but try not to insist on fixing them, if there’s an important one then other users will usually join in the discussion and they will naturally be higher priority. (also I think this one is so similar with the other one you posted that you could have just added a comment there)

True. Thanks for pointing this out.

This is fixed for the next version 25.03 but not in the current published beta.
