Shotcut.exe has stopped working - Error Message

I was using Shotcut for a few weeks, then all of a sudden I get the error “shotcut.exe has stopped working, A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.” and it won’t open…

It was working fine for a few weeks on the same computer, I made a couple videos, now nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled. I searched for similar issues and can’t find anything. Any ideas?

Sorry, it’s a new Dell laptop, 64 bit, Windows 10.

Reboot PC.
Check for Malware.
Check Windows Updates.
From an elevated cmd window run SFC/ scannow

it was happened to me. How to solve the problem?? And how to restart shotcut?

Try deleting Shotcut’s saved settings. In the installer there is a checkbox you can turn to do this.
