Shotcut crashes the moment I select a clip in the Timeline

There is nothing wrong with the video clip. I already selected it from the Playlist, and played it. But then when I go to the Timeline and select that video clip it causes Shotcut to crash.
I need to move that video clip farther to the right.

What can I do?

Thanks guys
Specs - OS: Linux Mint 19, Shotcut: 19.07.15

Update:

I just tried the same thing in Windows 10, with the same result :frowning:

  1. Opened Shotcut
  2. Imported video file & trimmed it
  3. Put a clip in the playlist & played it.
  4. Dragged the clip from the playlist to the timeline.
  5. Moved the clip to the right on the timeline.

No Crash. Shotcut 19.07.15, Windows 10 64-bit.

Thank you Hudson555x

This is what worked for me:
I moved each of the clips to the right of the one causing the crash, farther to the right, only about 5 minutes distance. Until I reached the trouble one, and as quick as I could I deleted it and saved the change. It worked. Now I can try bringing that video file back in and take it from there.

You only mentioned one file in your first post. Not entirely understanding what you’re doing, but if you got it to work. awesome.

You are right Hudson555x, sorry about that.
I should have included a screenshot too actually.
