I was working on a video, and saved it as an mlt. Every time I go to open the file (I have tried all of the Open file options in the file pull down menu), it stops responding and crashes. I have made sure I have the newest version of Shotcut. Maybe thats the problem? I’m not sure. It’s super frustrating that it won’t even open it’s own files. I even tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it. I really need this project. Can anyone help me out?

This sort of thing is difficult to troubleshoot because no else has your files, and there are no steps you can provide to reproduce it from a fresh start. Did you try using File > Open MLT XML As Clip…? That will try to open it as an uneditable virtual clip.
