I would like to share with the Community my experience creating podcasts with Shotcut.
Setup 2 Lumix FZ300 (ISO 320, 1/50 Shutter Speed) plus 1 Lumix G80 (ISO 1000, 1/50 Shutter Speed), 2 Raleno Softboxes with 135W lamps and customised grid and 1 Godox umbrella softbox, 2 Marantz Pro Pod Pack 1 microphones connected to a Linux box with OBS Studio.
Result:
Shotcut is absolutely fantastic syncing tracks. To keep standard filters settings between podcasts, you can keep 2 Shotcut instances open, side by side and copy and paste filters between them which is great if you wan to keep the same look and feel…
USB microphones are a nightmare, losing audio sync. I avoided a potential disaster by using gain filter to “kill” echos and time line tweaking to keep audio in sync that’s much straightforward than using Audacity for that.
