I have installed the latest version 23.07.29 of Shotcut. At startup the logo appears for a few seconds but then nothing happens.
I use MXLinux.
With Shotcut version 21.01.31 I had no problems.
Maybe it depends on the kernel version?
Probably your OS (glibc and related) is too old. Try the 22.12 version.
