Set initial video size

Hi

I have a number of videos all recorded in 1080p. I would like to position these on a grid on screen and I am currently using the ‘Size,Position, Rotate’ filter to get them where I want them.

Is it possible to set the initial size each video without using the filter? e.g. I want them to be 1/2 or 1/4 size to start with rather than fill the entire screen

I can’t find a way to do this directly, so I’m guessing I will have to use another tool to adjust them.

Many thanks

Pip

No.
If you want to use other software, stop reading.

Shotcut resizes each image/video max width, height, or both of the Video Mode.
In this example, an image source different than Video Mode.
Video Mode 1920x1080 (1080p). Image 640x640, auto resized to 1080x1080.

The same thing would be applied to sources larger than Video Mode, they are resized to fit the video mode.

You are using the correct filter: Size, Position & Rotate.

Save the settings as presets can make your life easier.
Keyframes (if used) will also be saved with the preset you name.

Thanks for the explanation. I will use the presets as you suggest.

For 1/4 size, there are stock presets.
