Select multiple clips and drag, deselect after drop

Hi,
When I select multiple clips and drag (move) them to a new position, the selection will be deselected when the move is done. How to keep the selection after drag and drop? Sometimes I need to further move them and the selection need to be repeated many times.
The second question (or suggestion) is: If I directly drag a clip before I select it, there is a lag period and makes the cursor move earilier than the clip. The faster you do the drag, the further the distance between cursor and clip. If I drag the clip after select (click) on it, the cursor will stay in sync with the clip. How to make it in sync in both ways?
