I run on Windows and use Sharex (https://getsharex.com/) for screen captures, as do several other of the reular forum members. To my mind it’s better to use software that is specifically designed to do something (like screen capture) than one where the feature you want is not the core function of that software (like a video editor). It is more or less guaranteed to work and have more bells and whistles if that’s what you need.
