Saving the selected individual clips for later use

Imagine that you have a big video clip with lots of not so good parts and you want to select only the good ones to keep for later use?

With Shotcut it’s easy. Just do as always to select all the Ins and Outs of the clips to keep and add them to the playlist.

Now we can export all the different playlist parts in a lossless format by selecting the option “Each Playlist Item”. Don’t forget to remove the big clip if you have it in the playlist.

This way instead of having a very big file only because of a few seconds of video you can select which clips to keep for later use. I hope this helps.
