Can I save my export progress?

No. What is your objective in saving it? To continue later?
My laptop heats up very quickly and it turns it off so sometimes the video I have not exported yet, it turns off.
No. Unfortunately, you cannot continue an export, but a workaround so that you’re not waiting on a long export is to break your project up in chapters, and just export just that chapter.
