Save a clip from timeline?

Novice user, Win 10, shotcut ver 18 03 06
Not sure if this is the correct way to ask but,
I have a timeline of video with a few splits is there a way to save those individual segments as 3 shotcut files for later use in other projects without exporting them as individual videos? Something like highlight a clip then right click and “save clip” or something like that. Sorry for the vague explanation . Thanks!

This is how I would do it.

  1. Save your project.
  2. Delete clip 2 and 3. Save project as Clip 1.
  3. Open original project. Delete clip 1 and 3. Save project as Clip 2.
    4 Open original project. Delete clip 1 and 2. Save project as Clip 3.
  4. Repeat if there are more clips.
