Rotation of Video clip around its vertical axis

Hello,
In 2 videos I want to make some effect, don’t know how to name it but I’ll try to describe: Like sitting in front of a computer’s display, then have to rotate it to get to the connections behind.
Shotcut is full of filters, is it possible with shotcut,
if yes, then how. (Any tutorial ?)
So one video plays, then it starts to turn and the second video is seen, then back.
Answers will be appreciated.
Thanks
Motim
PS. Tried my best to describe in the subject line.

OS windows 10 pro, 2004 x64, Shotcut version 21.03.21

Are you looking to do something like this ?

If so, I explain how to do it in this thread on the forum:

Hello,
Thanks for the nice tutorial. Made some experiments. I guess same technique goes for a vertical flip transition, but other parameters in the filter. Can you please write what parameters to enter for such a vertical flip transition.
Thanks in advance.

Just replace the X values with the Y ones and the Y values with the X. So for the first frame the top two values would be ( X = 30.00%, Y=50.00% ).

Hello,
Thanks for the answer.
Sorry to bother you.
Replaced the values as you wrote. Got a twisted transition video.
What I was thinking about is demonstrated on attached small clip.
It was done on a friend’s computer with program called “ffdiaporama” with several pictures.
Thanks again.

Try

Split 1:

Corner 1: X= 30%, Y= 50%
Corner 2: X= 70%, Y= 50%
Corner 3: X= 130%, Y= 50%
Corner 4: X= -30%, Y= 50%

Split 2:

Corner 1: X= -30%, Y= 50%
Corner 2: X= 130%, Y= 50%
Corner 3: X= 30%, Y= 50%
Corner 4: X= 70%, Y= 50%

@Elusien Almost :slight_smile:
Your X coordinates of corners 3 & 4 are inverted in Split 2

The vertical flip works for me with these settings:

Split 1:

Corner 1: X= 30%, Y= 50%
Corner 2: X= 70%, Y= 50%
Corner 3: X= 130%, Y= 50%
Corner 4: X= -30%, Y= 50%

Split 2:

Corner 1: X= -30%, Y= 50%
Corner 2: X= 130%, Y= 50%
Corner 3: X= 70%, Y= 50%
Corner 4: X= 30%, Y= 50%

Hello,
It worked.
Thanks.

Mea culpa. I messed it up when I was trying to format the text of the post. Basically if Split 1 has the following X values:

[1=A, 2=B, 3=C, 4=D]

then Split 2 has the values

[1=D, 2=C, 3=B, 4=A]

And to invert the rotation, just use values of split 1 in split 2 and values of split 2 in split 1

Flip backward | Flip Forward
                           |
Split 1: | Split 1:
Corner 1: X= 30%, Y= 50% | Corner 1: X= -30%, Y= 50%
Corner 2: X= 70%, Y= 50% | Corner 2: X= 130%, Y= 50%
Corner 3: X= 130%, Y= 50% | Corner 3: X= 70%, Y= 50%
Corner 4: X= -30%, Y= 50% | Corner 4: X= 30%, Y= 50%
                           |
Split 2: | Split 2:
Corner 1: X= -30%, Y= 50% | Corner 1: X= 30%, Y= 50%
Corner 2: X= 130%, Y= 50% | Corner 2: X= 70%, Y= 50%
Corner 3: X= 70%, Y= 50% | Corner 3: X= 130%, Y= 50%
Corner 4: X= 30%, Y= 50% | Corner 4: X= -30%, Y= 50%
