Rich Text not working in Shotcut v 25.12.31

I just upgraded to this version and when I select the filter for Rich Text, the box shows up in the frame I have selected, but I cannot type in the box. Sometimes I can see really thin line to the left of the box and when I highlight it and increase the font, I can see the text I have typed over and over. But it still isn’t in the box. I have to drag the box over to the right off the editing area just to see the text. I could only get this to work on one of the frames I selected. The second one, further in the video, I can’t get it to work at all.
When I export the video, the text doesn’t show at all.

I have done this multiple steps over and over

With the frame that didn’t work, could you share a screenshot of the entire Shotcut application with the filter panel in view, along with the timeline and the clip selected?

Can you provide detailed steps after selecting the Text Rich filter?

Try setting the color of the text. If that still does not work, make a text clip instead of a filter on a video or image. You can make a text clip using File > New > Text.
