Reversing clip - no option for where to save

I am able to reverse a clip by adding the clip to the timeline and selecting it, then going to properties and clicking on ‘Reverse’. I then get the quality pop-up box, choose quality level and click OK. I then expect a pop-up asking me where to save the new file but it doe not show that pop-up and goes straight to a warning box saying ‘the drive you chose does not have enough space…’. Why do I not see the box to choose location? I’m on Win 11 using SC version 23.07.29.

Thanks in advance.

When you create a project folder using New Project > Start Shotcut automatically saves most generated files to the project folder.

Thank you. I was able to save the project in a different location with more available space and the reverse function worked fine. Still seems odd it did not let me choose. I appreciate the help.

It is not odd; it is convenience. If you do not want the convenience then do not use New Project. It is not required. You can simply open a video and reverse it without using that or the timeline.
