Renaming Clips?

Just wondering if there’s any plan in upcoming updates to make it possible to rename clips in a project?
Or if anyone can recommend a work around? Making 40+ clips from the same source file so gets quite confusing when they’re all called the same thing.

Current version of Shotcut can rename your clips.
