Redo shortcut RUINED EVERYTHING

Ok
So i kinda hate shotcut now CTRL + Y Messes with me SHOTCUT I HATE YOU NOW CTRL + Y Isn’t suppost to add tracks IN EVERY PROGRAM THAT I HAVE USED CTRL Y IS REDO NOT ADD TRACK i hate this VERY MUCH AND IT HAS RUINED EVERYTHING i try to redo and it destroys everything i have been working on for HOURS Every single program i have used INCLUDING Video editing programs DOES NOT HAVE CTRL + SHIFT + Z. FIX IT PLEASE THEIR SHOULDN’T BE A SHORTCUT FOR ADDING TRACKS AND IF YOU REALLY WANT A SHORTCUT PLEASE DO NOT USE CTRL Y BECAUSE IN MOST PROGRAMS THAT IS UNDO AND YOUR REALLY CONFUSING ME AND MAKING ALL OF MY WORK VANISH THAT TOOK A VERY VERY VERY VERY LONG TIME

CRTL + Z = Undo.

With any program you can save files with different file names. If you are spending days editing one file you might want to save multiple versions of your saved work. This includes mlt files.

I Messed up at ending a clip and then lost all progress because of Trying to Redo and then shotcut makes a new track their for it shuffles everything away from me and i lose the footage. So Saving versions of my work would not help because i wouldn’t know when to save and then i would make the mistake before saving a version.

On macOS and Linux, the standard shortcut for undo is Shift+Ctrl/Cmd+Z. Ctrl+Y was chosen for adding an audio track because I wanted it that way. I make this program for me and share it with you. Take it or leave it. You not right to be this abrasive in your tone and demand how things should be done in an app you received for free.

I am considering to change Undo to Ctrl+Y on Windows, and change Add Video Track to Ctrl+I for all platforms. I think that Ctrl+I for video makes sense because I is the second letter in Video just as U is the second letter in Audio. Also, I is next to U.
