I have seen several softwares which has recommendation of a specific OS to use by the users, like kdenlive for linux.
And I just wanted to know what would be the recommended OS for shotcut.
There is no one preference for OS when it comes to Shotcut because Shotcut was designed from the start to be multi-platform.
A program like Kdenlive was not designed from the start to be multi-platform. Its Windows version came later on and even then it seems it isn’t integrated as well as the Linux version. And it’s just in the last few months that they have a version for MacOS.
