I noiced that while I am editing with shotcut my refresh on monitor are dropping from 240 to 49-70 and program lags because of that. Thats not my monitor fault because its very new and It only happends when I am using Shotcut. I tryied to change refresh rate to 120 and 60 but it seems only 60 works.
Is there any way I can work with 240 refresh rate or I have to keep it on 60?
Maybe you have a variable refresh monitor and it’s detecting shotcut as a game and changing the framerate to shotcut’s window real fps decided by UI updates? I know my nvidia geforce toolbar always popped up when starting shotcut so I disabled it in the settings.
Depending on your GPU there might be a setting to exclude shotcut for freesync/gsync/etc.
Well I can’t provide any screenshots because framerate is displayed on my monitor not actually on computer (Its build function on my monitor) and I can see when my refresh rate drops even without counter. It just changes color like crazy. I can try to get a video if I’ll be able to send it there.
I don’t think thats an issue because it only happends when I am using shotcut. When I play games or render anything in any 3d program it just works fine.
Could you provide me more information where I can find theese settings?
Can you share more details to help other users who find this through search? Like what is the name of the option and the new value you used? It is global, or is there the capability to change it per application?
