Project name with special chars

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Apparently Shotcut does not allow the colon character ( : ) within the name of a new project, but the error message shown is very misleading. I think it could be a little bit enhanced so that the true reason comes out. I have attached a snip and the log.

Not a bug. Can’t be done with Windows that I know of.

Attempt to name a file with notepad with a colon.

Just try renaming a new folder.
