Problems with pitch compensation

When I try to speed up a video with audio by e.g 1.3x with the pitch compensation enabled, the audio quality suffers by a slightly robotic reverb. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a way within Shotcut to make it sound natural?

While we have made improvements in this recently, I would say that the pitch compensation still has some echo when used on pure voice audio. For music or background sounds it works really well.
