Hi,
If think there is a problem with the compositing button. When adding a new mask to make, in my case, a located blur effect, I can’t use the compositing button and I’m forced to make a new track which is a copy from the first one and then I can use the compositing on the new track (I delete the 1st track as I can’t work with it). I saw in another post that I’m not the only one with this problem.
Thanks

I have no problem with the composition button on V2.
Not quite sure how this is a bug.
Windows 10 64-bit, Shotcut 18.06.02
I’m on Windows 7 64 bits but I have a friend with the same problem on Windows 10 64 bits. Version 18.06.02
And yeah the button for me is gray I can’t even click on it.
This was a deliberate change made by Dan. V1 always needs to have compositing disabled (because it’s the bottom/background layer)
That is correct.
It has always been necessary to use 2 video tracks to apply a mask to filters. The only thing you could do with 1 track and enabling composite is to show black outside the mask.
Ok about the deliberate feature thx.
