yes, but if I switch to CQP Level 8 the generated file exceeds 180gb
holy heck why is it so high? how long are the videos?? i record at a cqp level of 5 with 60fps 1080p and it maxes out 140gb at around 4 hours

If I do not like result on YouTube I usually go to look for a bottle neck.
See video after processing in ShotCut. If its quality satisfies you, and after loading on YouTube already is not present, ShotCut is not guilty.
Having a long practice on accommodation of video on YouTube, I can tell, that this service too strongly compresses video of a format 1920х1080p@60Hz.
It leads to strong washing out of borders of the moving image, where a difference of brightness below some threshold. The inactive sites which are not having sharp borders especially strongly suffer. These fields receive FPS 1/2 it set in video. Looks awfully. For this reason the desire to fill in video I have was gone or to broadcast on YouTube.
