I was adding captions to a video when I hit the problem that while the first captions entered (near the start of the video) were working (i.e. visible when i previewed the video) The later ones did not show up at all. After experimenting a bit I found that the last caption that was working had one or more blank lines in the text I had entered. Somehow this was causing a bug in the filter which adds the caption so that subsequent captions didn’t display when previewing. I didn’t try rendering the video. I was returning to Shotcut after a break of a few years so it could have been fixed since. But it should be easy for a developer to check and fix this if its still there.
