OS: Windows 10 Home
Shotcut version: 26.2.26
During cutting the layer with audio the waveforms are floating and waveform peaks shifting in random position.
It looks like when we cutting the piece of layer it wrongly visualized in the part which was cutted from it like - if we have “123” and cut “1” we should have “1” and “23”, but got “1” and “123”.

I’m seeing this too. I’m working around it by undoing the edit that results in the broken depiction, and then redoing it.
Shotcut version 26.2.26 on Windows 11 25H2.

Just a little more information for the developers:
- the project contains both video and audio tracks
- video clip has 2 audio lines
- video clip was copied and pasted onto an audio track, and then switched to audio track 2
- so, technically, both lines using the same video cut
The bug always appears after updating Shotcut, even after closing and reopening the app.
Hope it helps.

I was able to reliably reproduce a strongly related bug where the waveform disappears until you do something to make it redraw, and I fixed that. It could be the fix for this if you can test it please from this portable build from last night:

Tested and found no more issue with broken waveform
