ive recorded in 60fps, and the video processes normally, but when the 4x speed is applied, it goes back to stuttering, would this be expected?
Nevermind this. Shortcut hadn’t proxied the video for some reason, i needed to create a new project for it to do so. Thanks much @Hudson555x @Elusien and @shotcut for the help
Are you trying to sync a dedicated audio track to video which already has a version of that audio on like multi cameras for a live music vid?
If so, you can match up the audio waveforms visually in the timeline.
As has been stated, reduce the workload for the computer to the bare minimum you need to perform the task in hand. Switch off all unnecessary video and audio tracks and only work in realtime with what you need- ideally one video track and whatever audio you need to hear.
This is likely not a glitch as such - just asking too much from your available resources.
