Panasonic video format (*.tts)

Hello, I have captured a lot of videos using a panasonic HD-recorder. The foramt is marked as “tts”, don’t know exactly what it means out of mpeg 4. I like to cut out some parts of the videos and save it with the same format and file extension. How can I manage this?
Thanks in advance
Peter

According to File Type Advisor, there is the possibility that these files are encrypted. If so, they can only be played back on the device that recorded them.

If they are unencrypted, they are standard MPEG-2 files, and Shotcut should be able to handle them as such, although you may need to change the extension to .mpg

Also try renaming one of the files to have a .M2TS extension and see if it plays without any further modification.
