Openinga another playlist item takes a few seconds

Shotcut version 25.12.2 (since I had it also with the normal released version, I do not post it in the announcement post)

  • Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

  • Playlist-only project

  • all files on NAS

  • Proxies available on local machine for all files

  • Deactivated Wifi, no Ethernet connection (for testing purpose - happens also with active network connection, but so I can exclude any issue on NAS and network).

I have an issue regarding interaction speed.When I change a file, it always takes two to four seconds until next file is loaded, although file is locally available. Shotcut is gives status (no feedback in title bar).

What does that mean? Provide steps please

Ok, that’s indeed a little bit imprecise. With change I mean to open the next file in the playlist. My workflow is open one file in the playlist, adjust/trim start and end of every clip and go to the next one. So I change the file I’m working on. The moving over to the next file freezes Shortcut for some moments.

Does the problem occur with 10 or less playlist items? Is Settings > Player > Realtime turned on?

I have not reproduced this with 35 items in the playlist.

Yes, realtime is on. In the project there are ~600 files in the playlist.

Today I could not reproduce it. I will keep you posted.
