Opacity and text: rich

Having the mouse over the playing video, covered up the text: rich making me think it was not there. Hence the reload of video 1=video3.

Linux Mint 22, Shotcut V25.10.30, GPU disabled. Picture A on V1, picture B on V2 (on top of V1). V2 filters list top to bottom are size, opacity, text: rich. Picture B (the one on top) size is 1/8 of play window. Using keyframes, when Picture B passes under the text: rich background color, then the text: rich background is opaque to both pictures When I move the Opacity to the bottom of the filters list, then when Picture B passes behind the text: rich background color, this background color in now translucent to Picture A but opaque to Picture B (the one on top).

I am confused because when the opacity is above the text: rich (video2), it has no effect on text: rich. However when it is below text: rich (video 1) it does have effect upon the text: rich.

I would imagine that understanding why this happens would be fruitful.

Ok the videos 1 & 3 problems seem consistent. When the text: rich is above the opacity then the video which plays correctly on my computer, shows no text: rich on this forum webpage. Very confusing in-deed.

Solved my previous replay, the mouse was the culprit.

Is this because opacity only applies to timelines below the timeline containing the opacity filter?
