No Sound Suddenly

I was using Shotcut with no issues but suddenly no sound in the headphones - although the Audio Meter shows sound normally. Checked Mac Sound System Preferences, but also nominal Even downloaded a new Shotcut. What gives?

I have problem with "Mute" filter

A screenshot would not help much, as it is the default on opening Shotcut. I simply opened a working .mov file which loaded normally. Never happened before, always happens now. No sound in headphones or MBAir speakers.

Sorry to ask this, but just to be sure we’re clear on everything: You checked with other applications and the sound plays normally? You only have this problem with Shotcut?

Weird day. Weird week actually. Even pasting the Application Log got hung up. I downloaded HitFilm Express and am trying to live with that. My Final Cut Pro crashed last week and I can’t get it back until my man at Apple gets out of quarantine! Strange days all around. I like to use Shotcut primarily to reduce file sizes - it’s really good at that. Thank for trying to help.

Certainly trying another editor is your choice, but it doesn’t resolve the issue for readers of this forum. Providing a screenshot would certainly have helped out, even reading the post that @MusicalBox provided. Since you didn’t provide any information, I’ll post the following so other people that read this post can attempt to solve their issue.

The top red box indicates the entire Shotcut app is muted. To unmute it, just click twice.
You could have a mute or volume filter on the Output track. To unmute it, remove the filter.
It’s also possible to mute a track, just click the symbol once to unmute it.
The green box indicates a track or Shotcut’s main volume not muted.
