No sound from WAV file

Hi all. I’m new to Shotcut. I can’t get any sound from a wav file which is in my timeline and the box above. The peak meters are showing sound. The sound ikons are not x out and there is no mute filter activated and the volume slider is moved up to +5db (max). Can anyone help me here ?

Have you checked that the speaker was not mutated?HPmute

Thanks for the reply. Yes I did check the mute button it was OK. I found the problem!!
I had dropped the audio file on the video line on the timeline. When I dropped it on the audio line it worked :slight_smile:
