No filters at all (i'm new)

Hi! So i just downloaded Shotcut and have been running into a wall when it comes to filters. They aren’t there!. I click on the “Filter” tab and the filter panel comes up, as it should. But the little “Plus” sign is grayed out and there are no filter options in that box. Please help.

Open a video or image in Shotcut to look at the filters.

Have you selected a clip / image first?

Does it show nothing selected like this?

If you have selected something, then I can only suggest re-installing the program.
