I want to start by addressing this dilemma: With the price of new technologies, when will they become cheaper? With the money you spend buying a solid-state drive (SSD), you can buy a used computer.
I have a Hitachi 2TB drive, model number HUA722020ALA331 (JKAOA3NH), it makes a bit of noise and moves the drawer from time to time.
A few days ago, while creating a partition image, I noticed what appeared to be a “false” alarm.
That drive only have 3 relocated bad sectors!
We’ll have to ask PlayStation gamers, how often have their HDDs failed?
Note that this hard drive from a gaming console
has 7366 bad sectors "BUT IT’S OK"
The laughable thing about all this is the HDD I’m using as a backup for 200 GB. The good news is that it doesn’t make any noise, even under intensive use.
//My final decision
, without much hesitation, will be to purchase a pendrive with sufficient storage in the future. Its durability and data persistence have more than proven, surpassing all write thresholds.
