I’ve just registered to say THANK YOU!
For very long time I was looking for a good free video editor, I tried many and didn’t like any.
I ended up using the not-too-bad Blender’s video editor and faced many problems.
I didn’t use ShortCut much yet but it seems that it works great, have all the basic tools necessary,
Very intuitive and slick UI and not too resources demanding. Simply brilliant!
I will recommend ShortCut to everybody!

But it’s called SHOTcut, not Shortcut 
(Because you are cutting ‘shots’…)
Really, I didn’t notice that… 
for some reason I got stuck with shortcut… it make sense thou.
