Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?
Created motion tracking and then applied it to crop filter.
Then did randomly saving motion preset, defining name for Motion tracker / playing the video, etc. Sorry no concrete steps to reproduce 
I also managed to apply motion tracker to filter so the crash does not happen every time.
