MLT file failed to open, replaced with letter p

I was attempting to open my MLT project file only to find shotcut telling me it failed to open. When I tried to open the file in Notepad++ the only thing that appeared was the letter ‘p’ Any ideas?

Corrupted file.

Any way to fix it? Or load an auto save somehow?

The file info still shows the data created and everything, just nothing else

Did you ever make a backup copy of the file? If so, does that work?

That single ‘p’ is equal to “1 byte” as it shows in your file description.
