Missing Translated Message in 23.05.07 UI

What is your operating system?

Linux Fedora 38 x86_64 and Manjaro ARM64

What is your Shotcut version (see Help > About Shotcut)? Is it 32-bit?

23.05.07 64bit Flatpak version installed from Flathub.

Can you repeat the problem? If so, what are the steps?

After upgrading to 23.05.07 from Flathub, some of the translated strings in Shotcut in UI interface has gone. The main UI currently is mixed of my local language(Simplified Chinese) and English, despite I had already explicitly setup the language as “Simplified Chinese”.

One example is the “About Shotcut” dialog. Before it was all translated(humbly by myself) into Simplified Chinese but now all English.

The message was well translated a year ago as below Transifex shows. It was all right in Beta release.

Reading from this post it seems that the missing translation is not limited to just “Simplified Chinese”. The Polish language also didn’t display properly as it used to be.

Wild guess: some language files got missing during packaging?

Translations were not skipped, see this change:

However, something wrong happened when running lupdate to refresh the translations against the latest state of the source.

This is fixed for the next version.
