MIDI Mapper for Linux!

I’m an audio guy first so my greatest passion is recording and mixing music. After I left Adobe, and before I found Shotcut, I was using my Reaper DAW to edit video. It was cool because I could use my MIDI controller (pictured) to perform the actions needed, and you comp video in lanes like audio. The output was horrible though, especially considering that it was ffmpeg. That was a good thing because it led me to find Shotcut, which had way more features for video because it is a dedicated video editor, and not a digitaal audio workstation that can kinda edit video. Anyway, once I found Shotcut I was still on Windows, so I used CoyoteMIDI to control keyboard shortcuts, so I could still use my MIDI controller. Once I switched to Linux, CoyoteMIDI wasn’t an option, so I went searching and came across MIDI Mapper. It works great and is free to use! One thing to keep in mind if you do audio as well, is the MIDI mapper will take complete control of your MIDI controller: so you have to disconnect from the controller and close the MIDI Mapper in order to use the controller in your DAW. You might even have to do a restart so it detaches from the controller, before using your DAW. That’s what I have to do with Reaper. I hope this is something you can use.
