mic issue

Hello everyone,

I’m having an issue with Shotcut (version 26.9.27 Portable) not recognizing my microphone. I can select it under Audio/Device, but it still doesn’t seem to work. Please see the screenshot.

Here’s what I’ve already checked:

• The microphone works perfectly fine.
• I’ve tested it in Audacity and on several online microphone testing websites, and it works without any issues.
• Microphone access for Shotcut is enabled in Windows 11.
• The microphone is set as the default recording device in Windows sound settings.

Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I’m wondering if it could be related to the portable version of Shotcut. However, I’d prefer to avoid installing the regular version if possible.

Why do you think it is not working? The player volume is muted in case you are expecting to hear it in your screen shot. The “Not Seekable” message is expected: you can seek (scrub or jump to or by a time on a live device input).
