a “nudge” function would be nice… any ideas on how i can rig that?

Nudge clips in timeline

Not sure if its possible frame by frame but if you toggle snapping off (magnet icon) moving clip is more accurate, especially on max timeline zoom. I have managed to sync audio track with video that way. Not ideal but workable.

Not yet. You can’t nudge clips with the arrow keys. You can, however, use the arrow keys and page up and down keys to position the play head precisely. When snap is on you can create frame precise transitions, or place clips very accurately at the play head using the mouse. Keyboard shortcuts.

Hi @Meha - there’s a workaround for this. The following will move your clip one frame backwards on the timeline: Double-click a clip. The cursor goes to the start of the clip. Press left arrow. The cursor will move back one frame. Select clip. Press C (copy clip) then DELETE (deletes clip) then B (paste clip at cursor). Done. No sliding of the clip required. Nudging via keyboard is important and coming very soon, but in the meantime you can: double-click clip to select it and position playhead to its start Cut (Ctrl+X) use cursor keys on keyboard to move the playhead by some frames Paste (Ctrl+V)
