I would prefer the timeline was by far the biggest block in the GUI…how do I make it large and long and wide…?
The wide thing is the limitation of your monitor, the timeline already takes full horizontal length of your monitor in fullscreen. You can decrease rge size of view by finding the shortcut keys by pressing ?
