Tbh, that’s extremely hard in shotcut, you can achieve few effects by using corner pin, but they use softwares like davinci resolve which has fusion for that stuff. Even premiere pro alone is not capable of doing that.
You should rather prefer after effects of you’re talking about the transitions because it’s easier and you have more control, regarding animations, use blender.
In short, if you need open-source, use natron for compositing and transitions, blender for animations, shotcut for final touches.
This is nothing like a fern documentary, they do crazier shit than this, few examples

@TLR_Pictures Actually shotcut is not made for this. I mean its great at what it does-”a decent editing software for no cost”. But its not a 3D Animation software. Also, there are a thousand ways to tell a story and “3D Animation“ is only one of them. So i dont think its a limit or a drawback for shotcut. Still, I appreciate the effort you put into it.
