Long Export Time Not Like Usual

I’m reaching out for assistance with an issue I’m experiencing while editing the second episode of our YouTube mini-series. The episode is approximately 23 minutes long, shot in Full HD at 30 frames per second, and our drone footage matches the same frame rate.

However, I’ve noticed that the saving process is taking an unusually long time. For a 20-minute video, it’s taking around 2 hours to save(export). In contrast, the previous episode, which was edited and saved using an older version of Shotcut, saved much quicker, taking only around 20-30 minutes.

I’m wondering if there’s an issue with my project settings or if the new version of Shotcut is causing the delay. The project does include a significant amount of VFX and multiple audio layers, which might be contributing to the issue.

Could someone please help and provide guidance on how to optimize the saving process?

You cannot judge by the time estimate. It only knows how long it took so far, not what is ahead. Also, you should only compare the same project. Different projects take different amounts of time even if they are roughly the same duration. There are many factors.
