It appears Adobe After Effect has Lipsync rig | amv.tools
to help with lip sync matching in frames
Also exists.
Is such feature in Shotcut too / planned ?
I suppose the latter might be easier to implement as it is opensource

Do you think the animation features in Shotcut are sophisticated enough to support this? The code in that GitHub repo is not compatible with the GPLv3 license in Shotcut for a direct integration. It might be better if that tool uses the Glaxnimate since it has a python API.
You can provide Wav2Lip as a Glaxnimate plugin distributed separately from that application with its own license. Then, it will benefit more people as Glaxnimate animations can be used in Shotcut, Kdenlive, exported as video with transparent background, and even the Web.
Is this glaxnite thing directly useable in shotcut ?
Or do I have to leave shotcut each time I need it ?

Aww thats a bummer.
You’d think by 2025 ppl’d have figured out an open source thing for lipsync stuff.
Sad World…
Maybe a,timemachine helps

GitHub - LostMoho/Papagayo: Lipsync tool for animators
Let see how it goes
Yes, Glaxnimate is included with Shotcut. To be honest, I thought you were associated with the group that made that GitHub repository and are asking us to integrate it. It is too specialized for the main Shotcut or Glaxnimate developers to work on. It might be more appropriate for OpenToonz.
