Linux - Can't change default duration of images

Hello,

I am using Fedora Linux 41. My Shotcut version is 25.01.05

I have tried to modify the default duration of images.

  1. I import an image in the Source
  2. I open the properties tab
  3. I can modify the duration and apply the changes for this specific image
  4. The “Set default” button does not display (please see screenshot)

I thus cannot modify the default duration of images.

Thank you very much for your help.

Have a nice day, Clément

Shotcut first tries to open a webp file as an image. If that fails, then Shotcut falls back to opening it as a video clip. That appears to be what is happening to you.

One workaround would be to use another program to convert your webp file to something else (bmp, jpg, png, etc).

I am using the 25.01 beta Flatpak and Snap/Portable/AppImage on Pop!_OS 22.04, and a WebP image loads normal for me.

Maybe the problem is specific to your webp file. If you are willing to share the file here, I am willing to test with it.
