Hello, hope you are all doing well
Since I updated Shotcut 2 days ago I have noticied a annoying thing,
there is a line in the middle of all files on tracks that when I try to move or edit I keep getting stuck on and it is irritating.
What is it and more importantly, can I disable it…?
The line was always there but with a different color. Many pro-level video editors allow one to adjust the volume of a clip by dragging this line and now so does Shotcut. Previous to this, it was not obvious or convenient to the new or infrequent user that one must add a filter to adjust the volume, which is a very basic and common need.
Settings > Timeline > Adjust Clip Gain/Volume prevents them from being moved, but there is no way to hide them.
When it is not moved, it represents -1 dBFS. With it you can visualize if the audio level is dangerously close to clipping. Without it, you cannot easily see what is the maximum level in a video clip (nearly half height).
I can not agree more … those lines are annoying …
Wishing in future versions it would be disabled / hidden / back to original color option from tracks timelines

Why are those lines annoying but not all of the other lines in the entire window?
Thank you for the explanation and solution - it serves a purpose, but not for me.
Now I can work more efficiently and less irritated

Thanks for the solution to deactivate it.
It bothered me too and led to some unwanted volume changes.

The next version will use the more subtle color of previous versions when the setting is disabled. This also better reflects the disabled nature.
